200 Vtg 1960 Vote JOE MCCASLAND for Congress Postcard RIGHT WING Jefferson TEXAS
Delve into the political history of the United States with this vintage 1960 postcard, endorsing Joe McCasland for Congress. A tangible piece of right-wing Jefferson TEXAS heritage, it serves as a testament to the era's political landscape and McCasland's congressional ambitions.
Two-sided mailer printed on card stock. Right-wing program with the interesting exception of McCasland 's support for organized labor. He favors "abolishing the withholding tax," "sixty dollars monthly pension to all old age pensioners," "stopping the giving of multi-millions of dollars daily to Europeans and Asiatics," "bringing our American soldiers home from Korea, or giving them the right to use the Atomic Bomb," and is against "Creeping Socialism, Communism, Dictatorship and Bureaucracies." No mention is made of McCasland's party affiliation but this was issued in the days of the "solid South." With a b/w photo of the candidate.
